A friend of mine has a few of them, such as these.

He also has H&M but I haven't had a chance to play that one yet.

Are the graphics for the industrial maps missing in all versions of this available or is it just my copy?

On the Options page on my copy it prints V 0.1.0000 at the bottom left of the screen.

I've realised it's not all the industrial levels. Mainly the level Magnachem Mayhem which seems to lack any level graphics whatsoever (I'd enclose a screen-grab but I haven't figured out how to do that in Linux). It's not a major problem as you can play around it, but it's sure annoying. I've also noticed that occasionlly you'll find an indestructable opponent and can only comlete the race by the boring method of being first across the finish-line.

The last time i played this game was about a year ago (could be longer), but i don't remember having problems with the game, it played with no gfx problems but i did not like the steering controls, seem to slow responding and made cornering hard as nails (IMG:https://gizmondoforums.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif) .......................

I definitely took corners with more ease on the original MS-DOS version.

Carmageddon has always been one of my favourite games. I just find the carnage to be somewhat stress-relieving.

the cars can be edited via the files inside the folders

i think the handeling issues are due to the gravity being set too low
so cars tend to float about when you go in jumps or at steep hills

it could be possible to correct it with proper values (IMG:https://gizmondoforums.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Do you know any way to increase the gravity? I've had a cursory look though the files and while I found the Models.ini where I can change the handling of the cars, fixing the gravity might sort the problem out globally.

its been a while but i havent yet found a fix for this

ive been searching thru some giz games for modding potential and i was looking at carmagedon

it seems if i change the gravity too much then it sticks the car to the ground lol

i will have more time at the weekend so im gonna try some experaments
ill report on any progress i make
